    Description

    "Groove 2: Song 1
As with the song’s in Groove 1, all the songs in Groove 2 are played to a shuffle beat which means your
8th notes should be played with a swing feel. I believe this is one of the most important aspect’s of this lesson, to pay attention to the rhythm and groove. Really be aware of how you are playing the 8th note’s. Unlike Groove 1 which stayed in the key of A major, lesson 2 has some modulation’s which give’s it more of a Jazz/Fusion feel. It also makes it a little harder to play over. The chord progression is : | Amaj7 | Cmaj7 | Bmin7 | Fmaj7 | Amaj7 | Cmaj7 | Bmin7 | Fmaj7-D/E | . Song 1 plays mainly the key chord tones of each chord to get you use to the arpeggio shapes. Half way through there is a second guitar part which is playing in harmony with the 1st guitar line. This is a good exercise in playing with a second guitar line. In many of my recording sessions I do, I have to come up with harmony parts “on the spot”, so this is a good example of being able to do that. The lines are played mainly as straight 8th notes starting on the down beat"
