17 BabillardeBurgmüller, NorbertEasy
Description
‘25 Etudes for Piano Op.100’ (25 Easy and Progressive Etudes, Op.100) is a set of 25 piano studies composed by German pianist and composer Friedrich Burgmüller,
which was first published in 1852 in Mainz. His light and intimate playing style gained popularity in the salons of the day and the ‘25 Etudes Op.100’ are perennial favorites among piano students and teachers. It is particularly useful for children because in all of 25 etudes, the range never goes above a seventh, which is nice if the pupil have little hands.
All etudes are with titles and are very musical despite being technical etudes, which are more appealing to pupils.
This set of etudes is ideal after a pupil finished Beyer’s ‘Elementary Instruction Book for Pianoforte Op.101’ and before going for Czerny’s ‘30 Etudes de Mécanisme, Op.849’.
In our edition, every single etude has a dedicated band accompaniment to make practice fun and interesting.
