Description
Ferling’s 48 Studies for Oboe is not only well known by oboists but also clarinetist and saxophonists for those who are seeking to develop their skills to an advanced level.
It is now an important teaching tool for oboe/clarinet/saxophone teachers.
Ferling included 2 etudes in each key, one fast and one slow, written in a variety of musical styles.
Later, Rose adopted 32 of Ferling’s studies to edit and transpose for the use of clarinet.
The original script by Ferling, dated back in 1835, is now in British Library.
