Peer Gynt Suite No. 1 Op. 46 is extracted from the incidental music of Henrik Ibsen’s play, Peer Gynt Op. 23, of the same Norwegian composer, Edvard Grieg in 1888. Suite No. 1 is comprised of four movements: Morning Mood, The Death of Ase, Anitra’s Dance & In the Hall of the Mountain King. The melodic line is beautiful, light and full of vitality. Here we have the version arranged for violin players to enjoy this popular piece.
